Time Line Continued.............
It’s the time when I joined aditi that I had to think about the student’s interest, their level of understanding, their previous knowledge and many more things. As a new teacher to school I was finding difficult to find out these simple things. Actually I joined some time in September, so I had not attended the induction program and hence I did not know any of these words-“Assessment”, “Rubrics”, “Lesson Plan”, “Year Plan”, “Unit Plan”, “PTC’s” and many more…. After the induction program some of the learning methodologies became clear to me. I just had partly started context based learning in the year 2003-2004. Ever since then aditi is helping me to learn more aspects of teaching and learning. Some of the workshops that have helped in build our cognitive thinking are Coverage & Understanding, Assessment, e-portfolio, DPSE module 1, PPSE workshops ….. To be continued until we are part of aditi community.

Loved the graphical depiction of your timeline, Anitha. (You should have your students do a colorful pictorial+textual timeline like this one as part of a history unit or something).
Coming from a traditional state board to a school like Aditi can be a challenge (not to mention that you were new to the profession of school teaching.) The culture of this school is very different from the way most of us learnt. But you have done well to jump right in to the newer ways of teaching adopted here (I know that from my interactions with you) including your efforts to integrate tech. lessons with topics the kids are learning in other subjects.
It's good to know that there are enthusiastic teachers who are eager to learn and implement new ideas and strategies. Keep it up!

Please go to www.ppseblogs.blogspot.com and post your thoughts on it so we can have discussion on the readings that you must have deliberated upon by now, as it is essential to do this to aid the writing of the essay.
